FRIENDLY AND COMFORTABLE
Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely hotel with quaint rooms and decoration. Would have loved a more varied food menu but what they served was superb.

Good location for 1066 Country
An early spring weekend spent exploring 1066 Country. Hotel location excellent for Rye and the surrounding area. Friendly service and good breakfast. Room at the rear of the hotel was comfortable and spacious, but both evenings you could hear music from a nearby building until 11pm or so. Also, as it was March, we were told just before our trip that the restaurant was “closed for the season”. Plenty of good places to eat in Rye, but had we known when booking, we may have chosen a different hotel.

Central hotel but room run down
Staff welcoming. Breakfast lovely and central location to every thing. Room 10 has mould around bathroom windows and look rotten. Didn’t have bath as bath tub looked dirty and shower rail all rusty. Cobwebs everywhere and mattress dipped in middle. Both woke up in pain. Shame as breakfast was lovely and so central. Just room was very small as well. Wouldn’t mind that if it was cleaned well.

Great hotel
Initially we thought the hotel looked slightly shabby and unloved. However we changed our minds as soon as we reached our room which was beautiful. Obviously newly renovated and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is perfect for restaurants and pubs and very quiet. The staff are so hardworking, especially reception and breakfast (which was fabulous). I would definitely recommend and obviously would stay again.
