    Nice room, poor covid procedures

The room was nice, clean. We were asked to book a time for breakfast which in my innocence I presumed was covid related, so not too many people at the same time. But no. it was clearly just for staff benefit. Early people were careful to use alternate tables, keeping one table free in between parties.. But when they had left staff instead of clearing, cleaning and reusing those tables just showed people to table next to people still eating. We were then very close together. No staff wearing masks inside, not even breakfast servers. Not impressed.

    Comfortable, charming, convenient

Booked a mini weekend getaway at Rye Lodge and were delighted by how comfortable and spacious it was. Huge room and really comfortable bed. Lovely and attentive staff and incredible location, we walked everywhere in town in a few minutes. Only slight downside was the walls were pretty thin and we could hear the people next door. Paying for parking is a bit annoying but it was only £5 and it’s been a tough eighteen months so fair enough I guess. Bathroom was a bit small and lighting wasn’t great but overall excellent, recommended and will be back!

Great hotel in a lovely town

I enjoyed a very relaxing stay in an excellent room and the staff were friendly and helpful. Apart from the beer pump not working when I arrived and the on site parking being a bit difficult to find round the back, I can’t fault my stay.

Room was a little cramped. Service, bar, was a little inconsistent, had to hail waiters for drinks a couple of times. Food was good. Found it little expensive but appreciate it was peak in Rye.

    Great stay

Our stay in Rye was great. The location (on a cliff side just off the High Street) was good, though Rye is a very walkable town in general. The room was clean and large; our only complaint was that the angled ceilings in our top-floor room sneaked up on one of our heads a few times…
