Overpriced & underwhelming.
Budget level accommodations with a luxury resort price tag.
Initially we were assigned a room that was completely unsatisfactory. Receptionist kept saying that because we booked through a third party, Travelocity, she couldn’t offer us any other room or do anything to help us. 3-1/2 hours later, we were moved to another room—after a long & frustrating experience.
I don’t know about the potential for comfort & quality in all of the rooms at this “condo style” property, but the rooms we saw, were basic hotel rooms with worn out furnishings & one desk chair to sit on, lumpy bedding, stained carpet, a small microwave but no bowls, plates, utensils…nor a table to actually prepare or eat food.
Be aware! Many rooms have shared decks; some with windows that look directly into each other’s bedroom. For us, this created a serious lack of privacy and a diminished feeling of security. Some rooms are minuscule while others are large. So I don’t know how a future guest could book with confidence about the type and quality of room they would receive.
Bizarre elevator layout means lots of walking & switching elevators to get from lobby to rooms, garage, pool…. As for amenities, they existed.
Construction/renovations were taking place in a “condo” near our friends’ room & was going on until late in the evenings.
Great location with convenient public transportation. There are many other excellent hotels nearby.
