Poor 2.0
Simply terrible
The hotel is nothing like the photos in the internet. It is in a beautiful old Palazzo which is however completely neglected and in a dirty and terrible condition. In addition there is practically no one at the reception and you always have to hope that someone shows up. They also rent out a parking space for supposedly 15€ per day, which turns out to be 18€ per day at the end of your stay...the parking space is located in the alley of the hotel. The space is always packed with cars which park in two rows and a max of 4 cars per row behind one another; ie if your car by chance moves to the backside of the rows a minimum of 3 cars need to be moved to get you out... with no one at the front desk very stressful. And before I forget: don’t have the crostata for breakfast, it is at least a week old. Anyways I would not recommend booking this hotel. Finally, I do not understand why this place receives some excellent reviews...this can only be fake and lure people into booking this hotel via the app!!!!

We loved this hotel
From the moment we arrived, and the woman sweeping the floor offered to move her car so we could park on the street, we were enchanted by this lovely hotel. The location is without peer; on Ortygia, a short walk to everything

Very Good 8.0
Very good value for money
Hotel is well placed inside Ortigia, restaurants and bars are close by. Room was big with air-conditioning although it didn't have a real window to open. Still I think it was very good value for money.

Great location in Ortigia
This was a charming older hotel in a fantastic location in Ortigia. It was a great location to explore the area on foot-- could easily walk around the island or across the bridge to the rest of Siracusa. The check in was easy. It was about a 7 min walk to the main public parking garage, but you can drive up to the front of the hotel to drop off bags. Our room was a bit dark--with no windows except above the door, so there wasn't a view--but it was comfortable and clean with a good bathroom.

very convenient location. Glad there were radiators in my room and bathroom as it got a bit chilly in November.

Fair 4.0
Not as glamorous as the pictures suggest.
Don't leave many reviews but on this occasion felt it necessary to allow others to make an informed decision. The hotel on the pictures looks classic and traditional. The rooms look inviting and comfy. All good so far. My reception was great, no problem at all, friendly staff very welcoming. The room however was a different story. Sadly this room didn't feature on any of the Hotel pictures. The bed was more of a camp bed, foam mattress with bed frame poking through. No refrigerator which was stated. The shower only ran cold water. No privacy as the ill fitting curtains left an opening to the main foyer. Had to dry myself after a cold shower on hand towels as no bath towel, 2nd night I managed to get one. And of course as previously stated in reviews the toilet seats still are not secure. The night entrance is via a gate which takes you up a staircase which is full of old furniture to navigate through. And last but not least is the breakfast, which is spartan and I'm not sure where you get coffee from as no-one was there to serve. The uncovered food with flies all over it didn't make it look inviting so I gave it a miss during my stay. I was working local so had to be out early and back late. There was no-one at reception to have complain too when leaving and coming back so had to buckle up and bear it. On the plus side the wifi was great and the air conditioning worked excellent.
