Rooms are okay. They renovated unnecessary items, when they should have updated the bathrooms. It feels more like a 3 star hotel as the staff is not helpful or friendly. We had no phone in our room and had to call the front desk with my cell for some extra tea bags, nothing came for an hour and delayed our morning, I had to call again to put in a request.
During check in, the receptionist was really rude. Wouldn’t let us check in early when the person next to us also checking in for their room early. We had gone for our wedding anniversary, and so the the people next to us. They were given a free upgraded room and spoken to nicely. I later realized, we booked through Hotels.com and that was the reason why we were treated that way.
During check out, I asked for a later checkout time, as our morning was delayed, due to waiting for tea bags. We also waited for a server to help us and the restaurant was at 25% full during breakfast. It just felt like everyone working there, didn’t want to be there. Especially this poor old lady who seemed like she was in her 70s.
Also the bathrooms in the lobby are always filthy. If you’re going there for the pool, just know, it’s tiny, and there’s loads of bugs in it, as it doesn’t seem like it gets daily maintenance at all.
