Great stay, meh location
We were able to check in early and got a room with a king bed instead of a queen as we were expecting. Bed was super comfortable and the room with spacious with a big TV and view of the bay in the distance. My only gripe is that the downtown area isn't particularly appealing and stuff closes early as is to be expected from a financial district. We found ourselves cabbing to/from the surrounding areas constantly, but it was worth it for the price/value the Intercontinental offered.

Very nice.
Very nice hotel, although we stayed at the same in Monterey and it was much nicer. I had to ask for the duvet to be changed as it had brown stains. The duvet cover had a few holes. Perhaps linens are a bit older. However, here they gave us an upgraded room, as I had put a request in for a high room as we were celebrating a birthday. They also left a nice dessert and Evian water as a treat with a nice birthday message. The valet parking is ridiculously expensive with Canadian exchange cost $80+ per night. They also have a weight system for the mini bar. We had to move some items around to store some food and ended up with $135 US charge. I did get this reversed though. The area is felt a little unsafe at night, but maybe that was just our feeling. On the whole a good experience and very nice staff.

You don’t Get What You Pay For
The quality reputation of this establishment is over rated and over priced. No parking, no bell service, no assistance whatsoever. I understand changed due to Covid-19 but it’s not an excuse for substandard performance

I dont suggest this place
Checked in, was sent to the wrong room. Carpet was stained in a couple of areas, light knobs by bed not functioning, maid service was not available, asked for extra towels and soap, it came 3-hrs later. Snacks were overpriced and undersized at bar888 and the AC was not working.

Poor communication
The room they first assigned was completely dirty. When we walked into the the room the bed was everywhere and there were towels on the floor. We went to complain and they gave us another room. However, front desk failed to inform us that the ice machine was only available on floors 7 to 20. We were running around the hotel looking for ice and we were on the 32nd floor. It took us about 40 minutes to get accommodated and settled in. Also, their parking garage was full so we had to park inside another garage. Why have 33+ floors if you’re unable to accommodate your guest.

I’d stay again
This hotel is so comfortable and the check in was easy. We got in early (check in at 3) we were here at 5, and the parking was full already. We had to park at a parking garage offsite. They only have parking for 50-60 cars we were told. This should be mentioned on their website. We did receive a room upgrade for the view. When we got to our rooms they were very clean and comfortable! The fridges in the room don’t work and the shade that has power open close was broken, and would not lift more than halfway. So much for the view in that room. :( Hotel offered to change our room but we had already decorated for our daughters bday. So sadly they have half a city view. I’d definitely stay here again but like many things I feel with during covid they are letting things slide at this beautiful hotel.

Upgrade Surprise
It was a pleasurable stay at Intercontinental Hotel SF. I was surprised to be upgraded to a much bigger room than I initially booked! Thanks so much really enjoyed my stay!...

Great stay
My husband and I had a nice stay at this hotel. The rooms and service were wonderful. One thing that was disappointing was there was no room service and the restaurant closed at 9. We wanted a sweet treat while watching a movie in our room and couldn’t get anything. Another thing is that the parking is pretty expensive! Overall it was a nice stay in a beautiful hotel.
