Pleasant hotel in good location in Lyon. Close to metro, and also to old town. Comfy bed, reasonable sized room. Work desk small, but wifi works fine. Didn't try breakfast, but lots of restaurants and cafes in area.

Lovely hotel, Perfect Service, Super Location
The hotel is attractive from the exterior and easy to locate by car. When we arrived Oct. 9 in the evening, the most polite desk clerk stood graciously to greet me and he was quick to assist me to know how to park the car across the street underground beneath the most gorgeous structure, The Theatre. Everything at the hotel was perfect...clean room and bath, excellent bed and linens, delicious breakfast. The hotel is next to a lovely square. From there you walk easily in about 7 minutes to a giant square to catch the Lyon City Hop On Hop Off Bus, which will take you all over...to the Funiculaire station to go up on top of the city, around the modern areas, and along the Rhine and Saone Rivers. Hotel des Artistes is a clean, welcoming, comfortable hotel from which to enjoy Lyon for your first time.

My husband and I were very happy with our stay in Hotel des Artisites and would return in a heartbeat. Although the room was admittedly small it was so well organized for unpacking that it functioned better and felt less cluttered and serene than a much larger hotel room we stayed in Nice. The room was one of the quietest we have ever stayed in. Although located on a square that could be quite busy, when the window was closed you couldn't hear anything. We had breakfast only once at the hotel at the end of our trip but immediately were sorry we hadn't tried it sooner because the quality of the food was far above the usual hotel breakfast. The location allowed for good access to Vieux Lyon as well as the metro and the shopping in Presqu'ile. This hotel is a perfect example that it is very possible to achieve modern amenities, comfort, quiet, perfect temperature control in a beautiful old building. We hope to return!

Good hotel in Lyon
The location is great, very close to the old city and to the city center. Quiet location and helpful staff. However, do not book a standard room, these rooms are extremely small. Book a superior (or whatever the name of this category) room; it is spacious and with a big bathroom.

Great location
Perfect location to explore Lyon. The room had a modern look but felt a bit small for a couple. The bathroom was very stylish. The shower was great with good water pressure, especially after a long day of walking around. There is a secure public parking just opposite to the hotel but be prepared to spend a few euros (it costed us nearly 30€ for 24hours).
