It took an hour and a half to check into the hotel. The resort has 3 hotels and they moved me from my hotel, where the rest of family was to a hotel two hotels away. I told the front desk I would prefer not to move, and they explained to me that they over booked and there wasn’t a room available for me. I asked them to explain this to me because I booked my hotel 6 weeks ago, they couldn’t.

Hotel staring to show its age, extremely limited wine selection for all inclusive elegant club, beach area very crowded and too close to boat rentals with a permanent gasoline smell right by the elegant club beach front area. Service and food availability was good, the non tipping all inclusive make it hard to get consistent good service. ( So you have to tip anyway) Overall a good 4 stars.

It was absolutely amazing from start to finish . The room was awesome , the staff were awesome. Special thanks to our butler Guzman , Reyson the bartender for the steak house and Luis Galay a supervisor there for making our stay extra special . This is our second visit to Punta Cana, and our second time staying at the Majestic Resort. We stayed at the Colonial last year. And we absolutely LOVED Elegance more, it was worth the splurge. First, I want give to a huge shout-out to Victor, one of the supervisors. He was so warm, welcoming and was extremely professional! Pros: The rooms are a bit more updated than Colonial, the beds were more comfortable. The pool is enormous that it didn't feel like it was packed, even during peak hours The French restaurant was the highlight, with food options that were not available in the buffet. In addition, the food from the buffet was generally better than the Colonial with rack of lamb, and langostas. There are new updated pickle ball courts as well nice tennis courts on site. The staff, as always have been courteous, and professional Cons: Not enough chairs by the beach, people hogging chairs early in the AM and then leaving their stuff there for hours. Lack of towels, they're constantly running out of fresh towels by the beach. The shows at night are a bit dated and corny.
