This was a experience of opposing extremes, on the one hand they: Give you a access to a full size fridge, a microwave, a stove, and an oven! And yet.. Lack any kind of central heating, and instead give you two portable heaters to use. But.. Have excellent breakfast food And yet .. A bureaucratic mess to get it? (Have to order breakfast beforehand even if included with the room) But.. have a spacious living-room, bathroom and bedroom suite! And yet.. You have to navigate through a cramped concrete building to get to it.. Overall experience was positive, but can't help but think a bit more polish could of made it amazing.

Excellent apartment
Front desk stall was efficient and courteous. Upgraded us to a very clean, comfortable 2 bedroom apt. The beds were excellent. This was especially appreciated as both of us had the flu. They also extended check out time by an hour to accommodate our flight time. Ideally located centrally, there are many restaurants, shopping and local sights available. it within walking distance to the airport shuttle stop on Queen and Wyndam. The only drawback was that a Metro is being dug on Albert. So on a weekday from 7 am until 5 can be noisy. But this is temporary, and who normally stays in the room?

Cancelled our next booking at Barclays Suites
Awful. No central AC so just a portable unit hooked up in the living room. They charge 3% credit card fee on top of your booking and parking is an additional charge. The washer/dryer unit never did dry our clothes though we ran it 3 times. We had two more nights booked the following week but we cancelled those right away and found something far better.

Great Auckland space
Great location and really nice spacious apartment with everything you need for a longer stay at a reasonable price. The only issues where the wifi which kept kicking us out every 30 mins and the air conditioning which didn't really work well at all

The property is conveniently located. It was easy walking to the piers. We got to the hotel by 7am and told to return in the pm to check in. We then got the 2nd floor just beside their laundry room with staff working inside and on the hallways most of the time. They said there isn't another room avaualble, but other people were still checking in after us and to different floors. Amenities where in poor condition. The security chains on our room door where broken. We had to call front desk to get the TV fixed. The washing machine wasn't working either. We phoned front desk at 7 am to tell them our clothes were still wet as the washing machine didn't function overnight. They took out clothes for drying and promised they would be ready in 40 min. We checked back every hour and the staff said they needed a bit more time. By 930 the front desk actually said they haven't really started dealing with my clothes. I had already told them I had to check out by 10. I had to take my clothes still damp.
