    Impressive old inn

Our initial impression was positive, an atmospheric old inn tastefully renovated, but there were some aspects of our stay that did not meet our expectations.

Loved the ambiance and the history of the property. The staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean but the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and the decor was tired. Excellent location.

    Great old hotel

Decent, historical, very atmospheric pub / hotel in the centre of town. Only real downside is a long walk from all the car parks or Station if you have luggage, and very difficult to even park a car for drop offs as in a pedestrian zone. Food in restaurant was great and very atmospheric

    ok place to stay

The white horse and griffin is a lovely old building. The rooms are of middle standard but nice. Some age is showing in carpets. The tv didn’t work properly until I sorted it. The room was very noisy all night which meant lack of sleep. The noise came from a type of air conditioning that is boxed in a chimney style.
