We went for a couples getaway and it was lots of fun but definitely less than we were expecting. The hotel lobby is going through apparent updates which is very needed, and overall the place felt tired. The sofas in the lounge area were tattered, walls were visibly banged up, and the spa was quite dirty. Our room was nice and spacious, but for the cost of rooms (plus dining, resort fees, etc) it was a very expensive two night escape... could find better value in Toronto!

Nice place to stay
Hotel was amazing, room was nice but exhaust fan in bath did not work and the shower had problem with the water temperature. The place is beautiful Service was good but it took 45 mins have a burger on my table from the time we ordered. Maybe only one kitchen??? Servers were nice but not as good as the concierge and the front desk

Monday winter get a way
We practically had the Hotel to ourselves. Because of the low number of guests, some restaurants and the gift shop were closed. The dining was good, we had our choice as to were to be seated, in the common areas. We enjoyed the outdoor pool & hot tub. The coffee in the room was very bad. I suggest they change the brand.

Our stay was not so good
We stayed at The Rosseau Marriot on the Civic long weekend. The cost was very high for such an average hotel. The restaurants had okay atmosphere, although the cost was very high, however, the food was far below Toronto area restaurants (at a fraction of the cost). Our "lake view" was basically a view of the trees and pathway. The water sport area with canoes and kayaks was very disappointing. There were 3 canoes and a few more kayaks, but the paddles were all peeling and/or cracked and the vessels were all pealing with worn out seats. On a positive note, (probably the only positive thing) the staff were very friendly and helpful including waterfront staff, front desk and restaurant. The view is spectacular!

All great - exception - roll out couch not any where near the quality of the rest of the facility. May want to look at up-grading this aspect.
