Our family of 5 had an enjoyable stay in the hotel. Great location and value for money

This hotel has the basics. It was an easy walk from the train station and to the hop-on hop-off bus tour. The bed was very firm and the linens were very thin. The room appeared clean on the surface but had dirty tissues in the drawer and paperwork from previous guest. The staff was friendly and helpful which made the experience much better. The breakfast was simple but tasty.

Best bet near Termini
We stayed here 5 years ago and liked it so much we returned. Have seen reviews saying the property is dated but that is unfair. Tidy smallish rooms with balconies and great air conditioning, plus attentive staff and a good continental breakfast at a place near the train station, the colloseum, a laundry and terrific restaurants makes it nearly perfect.

The whole stay was great. Young man on the desk was amazing. Beds could do with some attention. Breakfast very good.

Night in Rome
Close to everything. On check-in, Michel was extremely helpful with lots of info about what we could do, where we could go and about the hotel. The room was spacious and very clean and well appointed.

Avoid rm 311
Lets just say that you don't stay at the Tirreno because you were looking for a expensive high-class hotel. You were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in a popular tourist part of Rome. Don't complain about it like you were expecting the St Regis. I booked the cheapest room in the place and I got it. Rm 311 is not nice, or clean and it does not smell of lavender. It is small, hot, stinks of sewer gas and did I say small. But the sheets are clean, the towels were clean enough to see right through the holes. The air conditioning was non-existent. The location is great and the hotel bed covers have that 1980's Walmart style. The guys at the desk are great and smile even when they cant turn on the AC.

The area was very good but my bed was lumpy and there were stairs on our floor. We had picked the hotel because it had a lift.

Nice Little Place to Consider
The location of the hotel is its major asset. Most of the Rome's attractions are within walking distance. The cosmetic condition of my room was satisfactory but everything functioned. The breakfast was good and exceeded my expectations based on many reviews. Wi-Fi worked as expected. The stuff was friendly.

I very much enjoyed my 4 night stay at this modest/comfortable/local hotel. It was my first visit to Rome, and this hotel met ALL my needs: An easy 10 minute walk to the main train station (Termini) , a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro (subway) station , a 10 minute easy walk to the Colosseum , several nearby grocery stores/restaurants, a fridge in the room for my daily beer and sandwiches that I bought nearby, a quiet room, a clean but admittedly not modern/hip room (I'm not visiting Rome to impress anyone!) , a very tasty/ relaxed breakfast (fresh pastries, coffee/tea , cold cuts, cereal, toast etc) in a comfortable dining room , 24 hr. desk service (English spoken), excellent Wifi reception in my room, and a few English speaking pubs within 5 minutes of the hotel for an evening beer . I really enjoyed my stay here. Yes, I hope to visit this hotel again. I noticed that some folks wrote that this hotel is on a hard-to-find backstreet. Yes, this is what you WANT when visiting Rome.....a Quiet backstreet 2 blocks from a busy street . Use Google maps to find this hotel's location as I did.
