Nice Hotel
Standard room was fairly small, but hotel staff were very helpful and courteous.

Authentic Neighbourhood with Parisian charm
Anyone who has experience with travelling in Paris knows this is a good neighbourhood to stay in. Very working/middle class so there is an absence of the ridiculous and stereotypical pretentious air of Parisians that North Americans believe they have. The staff were cordial and very receptive of my attempts at communicating strictly in French. Overweight and demanding Americans beware; the elevator is small and this neighbourhood necessitates a considerable walk to the main attractions. However, Raspail/Vavin metro are extremely close and the Paris system is extremely easy to navigate. Bottom-line: anyone who has previously stayed in Paris; those who are younger/backpackers/experienced travellers; and those who want to stay in an authentic area, this is a perfect hotel for it. If you believe Parisians should wait on you hand in foot in English, may I suggest over-paying to stay in the 2nd/8th?

Clean and comfy
I have stayed in this area many times but it’s the first time in this hotel. Recently decorated it all looks and smells fresh and clean. Room was very quiet as it was on the fifth floor located at the rear. Clean and comfy bed. Stable warm shower. Excellent WiFi. Basic breakfast. Overall - very good and I would recommend.

Great little hotel in excellent location
It was great, especially the location/neighborhood. There are tons of restaurants for breakfast (cheaper than the hotel), and lots of cheap eats around (Noodle house, creperies) and wide variety of other food too. The hotel is doing some renovation (missing baseboards in hallways and just painted). Our room was freshly wallpapered, as was the hallway. The elevator is tiny - hardly enough room for 2 people with baggage - typical in Paris. Not far from Gare Montparnasse and the CDG Direct bus. Hotel desk was very nice and helpful. The triple room had great beds overlooking a quiet courtyard. Not many hotels in Paris have 3 real beds (not a sofa bed), which was great. Larger than average room in Paris.
