This is a hotel that truly cares about its guests and treats them personally.
My husband and I recently stayed here for five nights in the midst of the summer heat wave. The A/C was fantastic. The bed & linens were superior. The shower was excellent. The location was amazing - just a short walk from Notre Dame, the Marais, St. German des Pres, etc. The desk staff were lovely.
A couple of downsides: Our room was tight on space. Apparently the layouts vary, so try to request one of the more spacious rooms. Also, it would be great if they could replace the nightstands - the curved tops don't hold anything!
But what really mattered was the service we received after we checked out. Turns out I inadvertently forgot my iPad in the room safe. With one call from the airport, the front desk put me in touch with the manager, Noémi, and before our plane was in the air, she had already arranged for the device to be shipped to my home. What's more, the housekeeper discovered a second item that I'd left behind, and Noémi took the initiative of including that in the package as well.
Kudos to all of the staff - I've never experienced such caring service on either side of the Atlantic.
