We now stay here every time we visit Chamonix. This trip we stayed over in the farmhouse instead of the main hotel. Think it might be our new favorite. Beautiful views from the deck. The service here is outstanding as well. Conveniently located, just a short 5 minute walk to the city center for restaurants and shops. Both restaurants on site here are 5 star! Love the bar as well. Le Hameau Albert 1er is a wonderful world of its own in the middle of the beautiful town of Chamonix. It is quiet and scenic surrounded by mountains. As we pulled in we didn’t know what to expect but it is charm filled and historic. Moments from the town and train station it is the heart of it all and yet a magical world unto itself. The pool was wonderful. The staff was helpful and kind and the owner, who is the 5th generation to run this lovely place, was on site. The rooms were on the cozy size and had all we needed for relaxin and comfortable stay.

Loved our stay here. It’s perfectly located to walk to the center of town and the train and launching points for other activities! The staff were lovely including the sweet driver. We arrived early and so waited for our room in the lounge. Staff provided tea and the wait was pleasant. However, at the changing of shifts it seems the next shift didn’t know we had arrived and were waiting so I reduced a star for that. Had we been a bit more proactive there wouldn’t have been any issues at all. I highly recommend a stay here and would do so again in a heartbeat.
