Hotel Bellavista, Rome

We chose this hotel because of the price and location was across from the water and thought we may have some nice views on our last night in Italy before leaving the next morning from Fiumicino airport which is less than 10km. If you are driving from the city of fuimicino, it takes a long time during rush hour traffic. There is only one bridge to cross, and you need to cross twice to get to this hotel. It was a bit easier in the morning and easy to drive to the airport. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and tried very hard to accommodate us. Easy parking, a short walk to the beach. Breakfast was decent....staff was not friendly. The hotel apparently underwent some renovations. We found the hallway and room to be very drab due to cement grey floors! The bedroom was clean with newer furniture and the bed was comfortable. The room was set up as a double plus a single...did not provide enough room for a couple to walk around comfortably. Only had one chair to sit in, was provided with a second making the room even harder to navigate. The safe was locked and no one was able to open it at the time for us. We found the bathroom to be dirty, shower tracks need a good cleaning, the toilet rocks, two plastic glasses were provided, one was dirty. Did not feel safe walking around the area in search of some restaurants. On the nearby streets, garbage was spilling out of containers and there was a great deal of litter around.

It’s ok for its price. Don’t rely on the hotel shuttle much, it’s not reliable; order a taxi yourself, or you end up paying 25€ per person.

Okay hotel for a short stay. The hotel is nearby the public beach wich was perfect. The service was good. The best part with this stay was the driver who drove us to the AirPort! A quick drive and sightseeing too buy a very nice man :-)
