A Great Stay!!!
First off Kelvyn welcomed us in with a huge smile and he upgraded our room!!! He was very helpful with so many things and always had that smile on his face which is appreciated these days! I would consider him an asset to the property!! Brandi the GM is also an asset and came to our aid with some issues happening at the hotel but all were resolved quickly by her. This was our second trip there this summer #1 - July and #2 -September and we will be back for a third trip before the end of the year!! An absolute gem with a very fair rate right on the beach - what more could you ask for???

Old good and clean but unfriendly
Make no mistake this is an old hotel. It’s seen better days cosmetically. However, the rooms are clean, the water pressure is great, the bed was comfortable. This hotel has specialized in serving the airline flight crew stay. If you are not flight crew you feel like a second class citizen. The counter person I had when I arrived at 3pm a for checkin literally sneered at me with his arms crossed and said they don’t accept any checkins before 4pm. The complimentary continental breakfast is only complimentary for flight crew. Regular hotel guests pay. I left the hotel after 1 day of a 3 day booking.

2/10 Poor

This was the single worst travel experience of my life. Started out door lock wouldn’t work. Then AC wouldn’t work. Then dealing with rude maintenance people just to be asked to move rooms only to be asked to move again all in one day. Then pool closed half of the following day and room key cards having to get reprogrammed after having to ride the elevator multiple times with staff to prove to them I knew how to use a key card and in fact like I said they were broken only to be asked to leave the hotel the following day because of supposedly being too noisy the night before. Even though we never even once got a call to be asked to keep it down when the only thing loud was the TV for the kids who were up at 11 pm for our unplanned move do to their broken AC. In reality they kicked us out because I refused to move my room with me my wife and two kids a second time in two days. We refused to leave and then not only us but the total party of 11 of us spread over four rooms were met by law enforcement to leave the hotel or be charged with trespassing. Apparently the cops said a hotel can have you evicted because they don’t like the look on your face in Fl and you have to fight them for your money civilly. I still have not received my refund. There was a total of four children in our party it was raining and we were put on the street to find a new last minute hotel in Miami Beach for a party of that size. I will never travel with Expedia again if they do not protect my interest.

Extraordinary
The moment I stepped in my customer service concierge Maggie was warm welcoming and friendly. She was very informative and helpful to me because this was my first time ever visiting Miami Beach and staying at the hotel. When I got to my room my first room my AC did not work. So I went back downstairs and informed her of it and she accommodated me with a upgrade. I will be returning to Miami Beach and I will be staying again at the Sherry Hotel!

Horrible staff
I arrived after my daughter did, and we both booked through Hotels.com, and when my daughter got there, they were telling her, even though both of our bookings were paid in full a couple of months back that they didn’t have rooms for us then they gave me my room when I finally got there, but they told my daughter that even though she was paid in full that they would have to find somewhere else to stay for the next two nights the rooms was horrible. It had a smell my air condition didn’t work. I had to be moved to another floor when I came downstairs to talk to the front desk I fell coming out of the elevator and the front staff were laughing , I had to go over be rushed to the hospital and I could not even stay long at the hospital because our flight was leaving later on that morning. The food was horrible and you have to pay for eggs seven dollars the staffing word mean rude and very unprofessional I will never stay there again. If the room was free, I would not stay there again. The parking is horrible , the only thing that was nice about it is the beach is right outside of the hotel when you come through the pool area

worst hotel experience ever
please save your time and money. i came from out of state with my family. i was told check in was at 4. 4pm comes, no room available, 4:30pm comes, no room available, 5 pm comes no room available. the whole lobby was filled with ppl waiting for a room for hours. people were sleeping in the lobby. front desk showed no concern at all. the man at the front desk stated to everyone he did not even have one room clean. i had my toddler with me as you can only imagine how terrible this was waiting all this time. the whole lobby was filled with ppl waiting from 11am. eventually i had to get up and leave and stay elsewhere bc my family could not wait any longer.

Run!
Las instalaciones son muy viejas. Todo está muy desgastado y muchas cosas están rotas. En la habitación encontramos sucio debajo de los muebles. Tienen una sola Máquina de hielo para todo el lugar así que nunca contamos con hielo. El estacionamiento es “peor es nada” Lo ÚNICO bueno es que está cerca de la playa. PERO no el check in es a las 4 mientras otros óyeles están a las 2pm
