Shabby hotel not worth its reputation .
this is an old hotel in a shabby condition that needs urgent renovation! The food in breakfast and dinner is of very modest quality. The rooms lack efficient ventillation and there is no air condition!The service & location are OK.

One of the best hotel in Eger
I spent one full day and night in Eger and was hoping to stay at somewhere close to the town and convenient to walk to the Valley of the Beautiful Woman, and I am glad to find this very decent hotel. The swimming pool and breakfast buffet definitely give extra points to my experience. The hotel staff is also very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay with Hunguest Hotel Flora again for my next visit in Eger.

Information other travellers find useful:
Quite good for a three star hotel and the price, but still, the hotel is a bit run down mostly due to its age. The rooms are quite OK though and the wellness area is also quite good for a 3* hotel. We were there in the winter, so not everything was working at full speed off season (eg. fitness room was emptied and all equipment removed to the aisle) but the sauna and the thermal bath was excellent. The hotel is located in walking distance to city center and the castle, so no car use was needed throughout our stay. Breakfast was plenty and of good quality. Unfortunately we couldn't try the city bath next to the hotel where we could have had free entry if we wanted to, but again, it was winter and the pools were (mostly) outdoor. Pity we couldn't check out the Turkish bath, maybe next time.

Brief stay in Eger
My husband and I only planned to stay over one night in Eger, so our review is limited to this brief period of time. Our check-in and check-out went smoothly. There was a staff member available who spoke enough English to facilitate the process. The room was clean and comfortable, and we both slept well. The breakfast was wonderful.

Good value
Having traveled around Eastern Europe for 2 months staying at various levels of accomodation this was a great surprise. Although a 3 star hotel and a bit dated it is in a great location only 5-10 minute walk to the old town, has nice clean, quiet, adequately sized rooms, a reasonable standard of service, and the breakfast was as good as those recieved in some 4-5 star hotels elsewhere in Eastern Europe. The hotel has the added bonus of free access to the famous Eger spa baths - with some 6 pools with water of different temperatures. We thought it was great value and would stay there again.
