The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. The room was a bit small and got very humid when we showered. The air conditioner made a constant noise that sound like someone was shoveling gravel outside the window.

Indoor air pollution
This place could and should have been great, but... upon entering the lobby, we were greeted by a stifling, lung-assaulting chemical "air-freshener" odor that made it necessary to cover our mouths and noses. Humorously, the "no smoking allowed here" signs are prominently featured. Cigarette smoke is definitely objectionable but why must our nones, mouths and throats be filled with pumped in chemicals? How about just plain fresh air? Our clerk proceeded to check us into a non-existent room, making it necessary to return to the noxious air-filled lobby again. The clerk then attempted to convince us that WE HAD NOT CHECKED IN", this after showing her our room keys, driver's license and credit card! No, she insisted, we had not been in the hotel! Fortunately, the freshener chemical was not in the room and the bed was comfy with nice cotton linens. Nevertheless, we will never reserve Aloft again - why subject ourselves to such an experience a second time?

“We’re not a full service hotel”
It’s a new hotel with a cool vibe but we were taken back by the fact that our room was not serviced. No one told us this was not a “full service hotel”. We had to ask for our room to get cleaned. Also I’m not sure I like having dogs in the hotel. Several times we heard dogs barking.
