Convenient and pleasant
One night stay. Owners of the hotel are extremely nice and professional. Got a fantastic restaurant recommendation. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. A bit noisy and would have asked to change rooms, if I was there for longer than one night.

Very good hotel near train station
We stayed there for one night and truly enjoyed it as it is very nice and we'll located; 500m from the train station and about 20 to 25 minute walk to the Pisa Tower. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was quite impressive and very spacious. The breakfast was good and the staff very pleasant. Very good choice for lodging in Pisa.

Excellent overall
Huge room and bathroom, comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning. Stayed here for 1 night en route to other areas in Italy and it was perfect. Front desk staff are super accommodating and had some excellent recommendations for dinner nearby - be sure to ask. Breakfast was excellent and it was in a cute courtyard. Chose it because it was a 15 min walk from the airport and a 5 min walk to the train station.

Family hotel with cozy gardens
While this may not have the glitz of a Ritz Carlton, it was the hotel our family most enjoyed because of the friendly nature of the people there. It is situated near apartments and one has the feel that one is experiencing life of the locals at Pisa. We used this hotel as a home base as it is a train ride from Florence and Venice. This enables one to visit without going from hotel to hotel with suitcases as one visits different cities. Besides including breakfast, very nice wines were offered at reasonable prices, and one could sit in the lovely, small garden for either breakfast or wine (or drinks) in the evening. We loved this place and would go back. When we were in Rome we stayed in the very elegant Grand Plaza Hotel - - -obviously markedly different where a formal wait staff served dinners etc. yet we still felt a fondness for Hotel Alessandro Della Spina as we got to know the area and the very friendly staff. It was walking distance to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, train station etc.

A nice hotel
A nice hotel. Staff very friendly and efficient. Rooms are very spacious but quite basic and a little dated. We had a good stay and nothing to complain about. The shower is great and very powerful. The beds a little hard and slightly uncomfortable. It is a little of the beaten track and some distance away from most of the attractions/shops/bars/restaurants, etc.
