Exceptional 10.0
Very central to everything in town but far enough from bourbon street if you want some quiet. Front desk was very helpful! We switched from a petite room to a superior room. It was well worth the upgrade. Gorgeous and full of French quarter charm.

Exceptional 10.0
Amazing place. Authentic, historical, characteristic.. courtyard was awesome. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Quiet. Great location. Close to tours and restaurants and of course, bars. Would recommend to anyone that does not need new, cold feeling and needs a hotel chain.

Good 6.0
The location is perfect. Cleanliness is good but the hotel is getting a bit worn and grungy. Needs a bit of repair. We were also on the street side, which can be noisy, so best to try and get a room that fronts onto the courtyard. All in all, even though it is a bit run down, it is worth it to stay in one of these old french quarter hotels. They are an experience in and among themselves.

Keep looking unless there are no other options
The hotel is not in the best of shape, the cleanliness of common areas is poor. There is no indoor dining room, so breakfast is taken outside to the courtyard. The rooms are also dated. King size bed was in poor shape, creaking with every move. There are no temperature controls in the room, no way to make it warmer or cooler. The continental buffet was poorly stocked, and identical each day. No black tea, even after asking for it specifically, only herbal decaf and green tea. Second day, they didn't even bother to put out the hot water. Overall, not worth the price charged. The only positive, is the great location, inside French Quarter but far enough from the hustle and bustle.

Thanksgiving stay
We stayed over Thanksgiving and the weekend. It was a nice place. Everyone was friendly. Close to Bourbon St.
