Great location, great amenities. Cool, hip location - oversized room with a great view of a nearby piazza.

Poor 2.0
Poor place and bad experience!
Very old room. I asked for a wake up call to reach my flight and was told not to be worried cause I will get my breakfast to the room so it will get me up anyway. I woke up by myself very late because “the breakfast lady didn’t get to work that day” I had to open the door to her brother saying that police took her... They didn’t charge me city taxes because I didn’t have breakfast... I missed not only breakfast but my few hours to enjoy Rome before I got my connection flight. Luckily I didn’t missed my flight.

Very Good 8.0
Average B&B, nothing fancy..
Tamara's Suite is a second floor flat in a residential building turned into a B&B, you need 4 keys, use a rickety lift or walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to your room, there is also nobody in the reception unless you arrange it beforehand (via email) travelling alone I would have liked a 24h reception. Breakfast is served in the room, but due to a 'misunderstanding' I didn't get any... The room was a fair size and the bathroom was fine, though very old, worn and bits falling apart, the water pressure in the (tiny) shower was poor. The bed was comfy but I would have liked a few more blankets, the air con worked. The wifi worked so did the TV but no English speaking channels (which would have been nice as I assume most foreign tourists do not speak Italian). The area seemed ok, but lots of shops were boarded up and grafitti everywhere, I felt relatively safe during the day but as a female travelling alone I wouldn't have liked walking around there alone at night, so didn't. It is a good 20-30 min walk from the main attractions like the Vatican, Colosseum and the historic centre but walking around with this B&B as your base is definitely possible.. The main downfall was the lack of a fridge in the room, when Rome is 35 degrees and there is no room-service, you need a fridge to keep cold drinks and a bit of fresh food and it really annoyed me there wasn't a fridge. For these reason but mainly because of the dilapidated area I would probably not stay alone in this B&B again..

No one at reception @ 7p, had to book elsewhere
I’d made the hotel reservation for this place two days prior on the app. My bus to Rome was late, didn’t arrive at the hotel until 7p. When I arrived, there was no answer to my buzz at the front door. After trying several times, I managed to let myself in with another building occupant. I climbed the stairs, found the closed door, knocked. No answer. I walked out, bought a water at a nearby minimart, and begged the gentleman behind the counter to let me use the store’s WiFi. He agreed, and as soon as I logged on I looked for contact info for this place. None to be found, other than phone number. Called to see if they could contact the proprietor, manager, receptionist, housekeeper, whatever, and nothing. Spent over an hour on the phone with customer service trying to get a refund and different hotel. Terrible experience, wouldn’t book here again even if the stay was free.
