Property is under construction!
The hotels was in development and I was shocked to find this out on arrival... The manager relocated me to another hotel (different type - I have selected this property because of its style, while I was hosted in a small, unpleasant room) a mile away.

I cannot rate the hotel as when we arrived we were informed that electrical power had been lost to our room and could not be fixed. Our host had booked us into a business apartment and got a taxi to take us there. The apartment was clean and met our needs.

Best location in town
The hotel staff was very accommodating. I did not like the first room, because the elevator was not going to this floor. The changed my room next day. Both rooms were very clean Excellent service. The location is the best thing about it, close to: Alexander Nevsky Cathedral Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" National Assembly and more. Do not forget your camera I will definitely try to book this hotel on my next visit

A few small improvements could be made
Sofia Residence is a charming small hotel of character with an excellent family restaurant attached and in a good location for local sight seeing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with a king sized bed. Unfortunately the duvet was not king sized which resulted in a disturbed night! Overall it was a pleasant stay but we would have welcomed tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Very pleasant hotel & great value
I highly recommend this hotel. Located on a quiet street, a block from a huge modern mall. Room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and had all amenities. Hotel staff most friendly. Will be sure to return if ever in Sofia again. Great value!

Wonderful hotel on quiet tree lined street
what a great place to stay while exploring Sofia. The room was beautiful, I enjoyed the breakfast options and the staff were so very kind and helpful. Everything was within walking distance. I had a suite which was huge, wonderfully decorated and very quiet. I enjoyed being in a small independent hotel and felt very much at home. The in house massage was another great amenity.

Idyllic escape
Had a wonderful 2 night stay with my husband for our first anniversary. Hosts were very welcoming, the scenery is beautiful and within a short walk of a beautiful vineyard that you can tour. Absolutely loved our stay, the breakfast was hearty and well cooked and we will absolutely be staying there again!
