We were at 5 rooms. Check-in was a total chaos due to a concert for locals that first night . Staff doing my check is seemed to be overwhelmed and all of sudden stopped my check-in " to have a quick lunch". Rooms are dated, A/c was good , two of my rooms smelled like mold and cigarette. No bell boy to carry all our luggage ( they did not allow us to use the carts ourselves). Food is disappointing , staff doesn't wear gloves at the carving station or when cutting fruits in the morning. Juices are made out of powdered drinks despite the fact that some fruits were on display way beyond ripe ( No blenders were seen at the bars either ). Snack bar by the beach only offered fries ( better the second days ) and burgers ( tasteless and bland as they turned out to be frozen) . There is NO such a service that works overnight . The only restaurant open was the " buffet " out of 3 other restaurants that are advertised . You could see flies over the food, the pasta station was a joke ( overcooked pasta with watered down canned pasta sauce ) . The " Grill station " had limited offers during the three nights we stayed. Some of the "HOT " items were actually COLD all the way . There were mosquitos at night and sunrise, so bring your insect repellent The beach was gorgeous, absolutely amazing sandy beach with patches of seaweed , but the water was so clear that you see your toes and the bottom of the sea. Plenty of loungers and shade !! Another positive was the Coffee Bar!!

The staff was very friendly. Reynaldo, was especially accomadating, when we requested a room with special access for my aunt. The DJ by the pool was very nice. When my aunt requested a few songs from her era, he delivered and my aunt and I danced to Beny More! I had not seen my aunt since 1971, when I left Cuba as a child. Thank you Brisas!
