Beautiful private beach and horrid rooms
I'm one to stay in basic hostels in shady corners of the world and this is the worst hotel rooms I've stayed in. It's dilapidated, smells of damp and musk and on arrival there were many live and dead mosquitoes over the room and bathroom. The shower only worked on a high speed massage function...Good things about the room are that it has a balcony, fridge and it's a good size. Also it was cleaned everyday that I was there. Note that your balcony might not be facing the beach or pool and that if your room is in the rear of the complex, it would be about a 10min walk to the shore. But I think the rooms at the back of the complex are newer. The good things about this hotel are that it is on a beautiful private beach, the grounds are pretty, the wifi in the lobby is good (1 CUC for 1 hour) and they have little shops/tour desk. Some staff are friendly but check in was exhausting and you will see many other patrons at the desk trying to sort out various problems with their stay. There is a lot of food on offer at the buffet, some entertainment and two restaurants were closed when I was there as was the beach bar I think. This place attracts a lot of Russians who sometimes have questionable manners (on the beach, I saw a Russian couple take deck chairs and usurp someone else parasol...). When I was there, there were enough parasols and deck chairs to go around. I arrived around 8:30 - 9am on the beach. But it was around the c-virus time and it was prob quieter.

Bad service and rundown hotel.
The hotel is not well maintained but that would be ok if not for the way the hotel is managed. Many services offered are not given, piano bar closed, the only coffe machine broken most of the time, service unmotivated and slow. "We don't have it" or "it is not working" are common answers. Food is ok but almost the same in every restaurant and no coctels offered in most of the bars. During check out we almost miss our flight because front desk keep us waiting almost 1 hour for a taxi and then tell us there are no taxis available. They didn't care. We had to go with the luggage to the highway to find a taxi by ourselves. Luckily we got a taxi in less than five minutes. Not coming back.

Good Value
We loved our time at Brisas Del Caribe. The room it self was nothing special but it did the job. The facilities on the other hand were great and the buffet too. A little more information about the facilities on arrival would have helped. Luckily we met some regulars who told us about the amazing entertainment provided. All in all though, a good time was had by all and for the price it was good value.

Nice pool, super close to great beach.Great inclusive water sports. The room was decent,The food ,well after a few days I just had to go elsewhere to eat to get a decent meal.The buffet was tedious and some of the health practices concerned me. Should be noted I am up tight about such things. The fresh cooked food was good though.

Hotel is not maintained at all. Rooms are falling apart, swarms of mosquitoes, dirty... Staff not very friendly except few of them, especially very nice lady making fabulous cocktails in the lobby. Excellent beach.
