Common areas cleaniness
Lobby and corridor carpet smelly and filled with debris. No elevator to move luggages upstairs.

2/10 Poor

After carrying our suitcases upstairs, we were surprised to find that our room was double booked and thus still occupied. Thankfully they found us a new room (on the ground floor). On our last night, we found out that our new room was also double booked, because some stranger randomly walked into our room when we had just returned. Additionally 30 minutes later, staff was at our door bringing us new towels that we never asked for. Never got an acknowledgement nor apology for any of these incidents. The room also wasn't very clean, hotel was in poor condition and the WiFi was practically unusable (less than 1 Mbps). Paid practically twice the price because of Labour Day weekend as well. Never again!

8/10 Very good

Location was great. Staff were friendly and helpful but the room specially the washroom has hair even in the tissue paper and all over the place. The tea/coffee was empty with no coffee, tea and sugar and stirs no where to be found. The phone in the room was dead which we found when we timried to call for service. Lots of air fresheners used in the hallways with NO fans to clean the air.

Pretty good place for sleeping!
Great service at check in, lovely folks at the desk. Hotel and rooms are dated, but clean, although the king bed room is a little tight for space. Hallways have no AC, but in-room AC is perfect. We were on the 2nd floor, no elevator that we were directed to, just sort of steep stairs, so be aware if mobility is an issue. My only real complaint might be that there is only a tiny shelf over the toilet in the washroom, so no where to put anything. The shelf is also a little slanted, so if you don't keep the toilet bowl lid closed, your stuff might roll off! Not in the best area for tourist stuff, Kingston Pen was about a $15 Uber away. If you just want somewhere to sleep and don't mind driving to the things to do, its great and much more affordable than some other options in Kingston.
