Stay near airport before/after trip through Spain
Large very comfortable apartment for a reasonable price near the airport & adjacent mall. The bathroom smelled some, maybe because the sink didn't have a loop seal. The kitchen had very little in terms of supplies. The front desk was very nice.

Review of Apartment - 14th to 18th July
Had an amazing time staying at this apartment. The staff were all really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you. It is about an hour by bus/ metro to the centre of Madrid but easy to get to and all transport is available until 11:35pm and we never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Our apartment had a great view of the pool area and the air conditioning was also great. Highly recommend

Big room. Big complex with pool, restaurant, and space. Room was nice although tad bit 'run down' but didn't affect overall feeling of stay. (floors scratched, knob on bathtub missing, etc) Very happy with my stay. Would visit again.

Good ol' bait and switch
We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and free airport transfer. When we arrived, we learned that the hotel no longer provided transfers to the airport. It cost us an additional 20 euros to get to the airport. Had we known there was no transfer, we would have spent the night in central Madrid and just taken a taxi directly from there for 30 euros. Our suite was grimy and had warped flooring due to prior water damage. One of the toilets didn't flush, both showers had clogged shower heads, and one of the showers had broken door tracks. The black out shutters did not close in one of the rooms. The breakfast was as bad as the room.

The hotel was outstanding, except, we were expecting a shuttle from the airport as the booking described. We had to pay €100 for taxi fare back and forth from the airport. For that cost we would've opted for a luxury hotel. Otherwise, the desk staff was kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean and large. The restaurant was great and very friendly.
