Amazing staff, definatley recommend!
One of the previous reviews of this place is spot on when they describe it as "the most basic of basic". The double room is truly tiny - it is barely bigger than the bed, with the bathroom awkwardly placed next to where you'll be sleeping. The breakfast is also basic. Really you are paying for the location - it is right off La Rambla, and steps away from the key attractions. Also, the hostel must have amazing soundproofing, because despite facing the busy street, we couldn't hear a thing! But, ultimately, I didn't feel the room was worth the price that we paid. You can go slightly further away from La Rambla to get a much better room for essentially the same price.
We stayed a night at Barcelona before returning home, the hotel was at a convenient location, we enjoyed a free breakfast before heading our for a stroll. Everything were great considering what we paid for. It might be a concern for traveler who couldn't carry bag/luggage to climb stairs for one floor though as lift is located not at ground level.
Small room in friendly hostal and within walking distance to La Ramblas and Gothic Quarter.
