Quaint place near all of the sights. Good access to the mountain towns and Interlaken. Parking was a little tough on occasion, but the room was nice and staff was great. Older hotel that has not been renovated but was clean and the beds were comfy (most important!). Decent amount of space in the room. Disappointed that the AC was not working during a heat wave. We had a lovely stay for 4 days. Breakfast was good. We had a fantastic view of the mountains and the staff were lovely. Catarina was extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay. Couldn’t fault it, highly recommend.

The hotel is way below a 3 star. This was a last min trip and w low availability we booked this hotel as it was rated greater than 8. Amenities state that there is an elevator but only in the main building. Not in the “chalet”. No one is available to help w hauling suitcases to upper floors in the chalet. This could be a problem for some. We did finally get someone to help us w the luggage. The towels in the room were threadbare - one was torn w holes. There were dust balls on the fan that were blowing into the air and on to the carpet. FYI: It is 11 min walk from the bus stop which is up a hill. Walking up is ok but dragging suitcases up the hill may be a problem. It is a 20 min walk from local train station and up the hill is part of the walk. Cost of taxi for 2 people w luggage from Interlaken Ost or West is about 32-37 CHF. Breakfast was good. Staff at front desk were courteous.

could not recommend a better spot to stay. be aware- it’s at the top of the hill so if you plan to bus and walk your luggage to the hotel it’s a lot! but SO WORTH IT. we had a balcony room with the most amazing views ever and all the farm animals. Room had balcony with partial view of Lake Brienz and beautiful views of Mount Jungfrau with beautiful green valley and mountains near hotel which has a pool. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast had good coffee choices and the best flavored yogurts. We met the owner, Alex, hitchhiking from the hotel to the train station who drove us several times either from Interlaken from his famous Aare Korean BBQ restaurant to his hotel or to train station. Great hospitality from Alex!!! From Interlaken OST, the train ride to Wilderswill train station is about 5 minutes and then a short bus ride of a few minutes to a stop which is about 5-10 minutes walk uphill to hotel. Very quiet area to get a good night sleep and close to wilderswill train station to go to nearby Lauterbrunnen.

The breakfast is really good but the room and hotel itself is outdated. This hotel is located at a top of a hill in wilderswil so each day we had to walk on an upward hill for 10-15 mins. They do not offer pick up shuttle which I think would’ve made our experience a lot more enjoyable. If we had known, we would have not booked as it’s very far from the closest bus stop and scary at night. Our room (deluxe premium) did NOT have air conditioning so please be aware before booking.
