Super friendly staff made me feel welcome
I’m sure one can find lots of hotels in Rome. What is unusual about this one, however, was how genuinely friendly the staff is. Alessandro in particular was unbelievably personal and helpful and acted as if he was an old friend I had known for years. No matter how many questions I threw at him (and how many times I forgot the answers he gave me), he patiently explained what I needed to know and really made me feel as if I’m staying at a friend’s house. The only thing I would ask them to re-consider is the toilet design in the bathroom (doubling as a BD at the same time). I opted for a small room, which was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and kept me going for hours. I will not hesitate recommending it to my friends and will stay there myself again for sure.

we were passing through Rome, and this is a great location....convienent to main train station...lots of restaurants in walking distance. We have stayed at Deseo in the past, and will stay again..Wonderful choices at breakfast. something for everyone.

This is a wonderful hotel in a good area. Near to Termini, transport links, cafes and bars etc.To us Most impressive was the layout- modern, spotless , clean and comfy rooms set in an old, authentic Italian residential building. room cleaning wasn't perfect ( toiletries and glasses not replaced) but otherwise perfect.

I was only staying in this hotel for one night. As soon as I was shown the room the general good appearance made a good impression on me, so I only stayed for a few minutes feeling very keen to start my short visit in Rome. Everything, and particularly the bathroom, looked very new and contemporary in style. It wasn't until I went to bed at night that I noticed the presence of a boiler in the room that also serves the one next door. This really spoilt my whole experience because I found it very difficult to get to sleep. In the end I had to improvise making some ear plugs with toilet tissue. I also noticed a strong perfume in the room which may not be for everyone's taste. Although I appreciate the good intentions of the staff, they should definitely tame the amount of perfume in the room.
