Relais Forus Inn, Rome

Overall, this hotel was very nice. My biggest issues were with the Air Conditioning and wifi. Both were temperamental. But i was very happy with the customer service, and the location was great.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel on the start of our 18 day journey through Italy. Our flight arrived extremely early on a Friday morning and we were met by a pick up service from the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel we met Kritzia whom was the nicest person we had met upon are arrival. She answered all our questions and held our luggage until our room was ready ( an hour earlier than listed time for check in). Breakfast is served every morning in your room at the time you requested the day prior on the breakfast form. All staff was helpful and attentive to all our needs. If we find ourselves back in Rome we will definitely stay here again.

Best thing about this place is the service. The front desk receptionists are most helpful - even before we arrive, they have been super responsive via email - with our queries, restaurant reservations, airport transfer arrangements etc. During our stay, we had some trouble with our room's aircon and safe, and they were quick to help resolve these. On one of the days when we were out the whole day for sightseeing and did not put in our breakfast request before their 7pm deadline - the front desk actually texted and called to check on our breakfast order for the next day. Very attentive service! Location of the apartment is also good - near enough to Termini and subway Cavour but without the noise of the busy street. There is a supermarket just 2 mins' walk away. The only concern I have is the size of the room - which is really small. otherwise, it's a great stay.

The hotel service is fantastic. I really recommend this place as a fairly low-cost base in a good location for exploring Rome. We received a welcome drink on arrival and were gifted a bottle of wine and small cake (not sure if they do this as standard or just because I was staying over my birthday / Three King's Day - But lovely!). We forgot a travel adapter and they let us use one, always helpful with anything you needed. The room was very modern and clean. Breakfast is provided as room service every morning which is nice. Continental breakfast (bread, croissants, cereals, boiled egg, yoghurts, tea, coffee, juice etc.) is included in the B&B price, if you want hot food (English breakfast) its only about €4 more (we didn't try it). Everyday between 3pm - 9pm there is a small snack bar in reception that is free which some nibbles and drinks. Wi-Fi free and OK, a little intermittent at times. The building has quite thin walls, so there was a little noise (chatter / shuffling about), but nothing after 11.30pm onwards. Our room was right next to reception (room 102) - and I mean the door is NEXT to the check in desk. This initially concerned us however as I mentioned noise wasn't really an issue, however it felt a bit too close so for privacy / comforts sake I'd request not to be put in that room again. On the 6th January Befana even brought us a stocking of presents (sweets) with breakfast! A lovey touch. On the whole I will be recommending this place to my friends :).

this is our 5th time to rome and without a doubt this was one of our best stays staff were very friendly and helpful rooms were spotless and the little touches of a bottle of wine when we got there and gifts left Christmas day the price was more than reasonable for the Christmas period whould definitely stay here again
