I liked the hotel and the staff were friendly, the breakfast was nice and made nicely.

Mixed review
Had our car broken into which put a slant on the way we viewed our stay. Check in also was a problem where they tried to get us pay again. Hotel generally nice.

Buyers beware of paying up front!
The hotel has a private function room. Unfortunately there was a family party where many of the guests were staying with children. The parents got drunk quite early on and abandoned their children who ran wild till 2am. The staff failed to take any action despite numerous complaints and effectively rewarded the criminal behaviour by continuing to serve the drunks who had abandoned their parental responsibilities. Now to balance the review - the hotel is well appointed and generally the staff are very good. Enjoyed our breakfast and loved the parking facility. Close to the botanical gardens and whilst there was a little bit of a cleanliness issue in my room it was addressed asap on complaint. I was promised a call on checking out suggesting recompense or management apology. Despite my written complaint outlining my opportunity to review the hotel I got no conciliatory offer. So, having been asked to pay on arrival and not getting the aforementioned call after 36 hours I have written this review accordingly. My next letter will be to the licensing justices as there were clear licensing offences taking place. I do not condone Companies and directors that fail to recognise child neglect and earn illicit profit whilst doing so. Failing to have strategies to deal with such circumstances is a failure to protect customers, staff and children.

Hotel OK Service very poor - Understaffed?
Hotel is ok , a little bit of a labyrinth for some rooms and the lift does not go to the top floors. Check in was fine and there seemed to be ample car parking spaces. Wifi seemed adequate. There seemed to be a smell of stale cooking in some of the corridors and stairs. This did not extend to my room. No air conditioning in room, but there were fans. The Room was ok , although the bathroom was a little cramped in places, also it was a shower over the bath with a shower curtain. Hot water was a bit temperamental. My biggest gripe was the service at Breakfast, or lack of. There was a cold buffet for Cereal etc. But coffee and the cooked breakfast was by order, this is not something that is bad, but the delays were very bad. The breakfast room was by no means crowded. But to give my coffee and breakfast order I had to wait an age. Coffee and toast finally arrived. But after waiting over 15 mins I left without my cooked breakfast. The waitress had said there was a delay, as they were busy. But that does not help. When you book a hotel with breakfast included, then you expect the breakfast to be provided in a reasonable time frame
