Worst resort ever!
Our stay here was not a pleasant one. It took 2 hours to check in. All because the guy at the service desk could not count and kept trying to charge us more than what we were supposed to pay. After two hours it turned out we were right and the amount to pay was the price we said initially. However he wanted to go back and flour the with us for two hours about it. All of the restaurants we wanted to got to were booked up for the whole week we were there so we didn’t get to experience any of the restaurants. The buffets were okay nothing special but that is the only option we had to eat. There was two nights security cameras to our room stated they need to search the room for ppl and each time there was no extras. We had two rooms so of course we were in and out of each other’s rooms. But I felt like we were being harassed the whole time which could have potentially ruined my birthday trip but I did it let it. Overall I was no happy with my stay at Grand Sirenis and I will not recommend it to anyone.

6/10 Good

I booked and paid for suite with a king size bed. I was given a double bed room. When I inquired at the front desk was told the hotel was completely booked and didn’t have any other room to transfer me to. The AC wasn’t working, the room was really hot. I called the front desk twice and was told someone was coming, no one showed up. Called again and they said the ac was down. I asked for an oscillating fan and they don’t have them available. To say the least that night was horrible, my blood pressure was high and the headache was bad. The food is not great, I was expecting traditional Mexican food ( at least one day) The buffet wasn’t great and the restaurants were I have to say my room attendant was very pleasant.

2/10 Poor

Not a lot positive to say
We were so disappointed in this resort. We made it only 2 nights before eating the money and moving onto somewhere else. This place had so much potential. It’s a beautiful resort with lots and lots pools restaurants and bars. Here’s the negatives: -extremely busy, huge resort with literally thousands of people, loud, drunk and usually screaming (kids). This made it very difficult to relax. -they have hundreds of pool chairs for thousands of people. Do the math. People reserve them the night before with their towels. Also many are broken. -the food is mostly inedible. Awful awful awful. -toilet in our room was broken. We called and nobody came. Then talked to our concierge. They sent a crew out to fix it. And it made it worse. -restaurants and bars are not air conditioned. The only areas with AC are the rooms. -bartenders are unable to make drinks off their menu beyond simple well drinks. -most of the staff is grumpy and not happy to be there serving you. -you cannot get a reservation for any restaurant you want when you want. We were lucky to get 9pm reservations some of the days. But many people we talked to could get into restaurants only 3-4 times in a week. Honestly I cannot figure out how this place has good reviews. I guess if you’re bringing your large family and don’t care about bad buffet food it would be fine. It’s cheap. It has that going for it.

2/10 Poor

Everything that we expected this resort to be was the exact opposite. They promised us so much and we’re not accommodating what so ever. It was our honey moon and I am 5 months pregnant and they did nothing to make any of the horrible hospitality correct. The room had 2 beds instead of one. They did not accommodate my Food allergy. They moved us to a room so far away from everything on the resort that we had to walk 15 min to get to the pool and wouldn’t give me a shuttle. I requested a refund

All around great stay here! The staff work so hard and made this experience so special. Beach could be better due to rocky areas and seaweed overgrowth but that is out of the resorts control. Looking forward to returning in the future:D

10/10 Exceptional

The hotel and grounds are kept beautifully. The lazy river is the best. Plus there is 3 additional pools including a quiet pool. The staff are all very friendly and go above and beyond. The spa is fantastic highly recommend. Overall the food is pretty good, the buffets have different themes every night and the a la cartes are pretty good. Japanese and brazillian were our favorites. The hotel room is huge. We had a junior suite. Very clean and well kept. Would definitely stay again here.

Been to MX many times this is probably my favorite Resort so far. only 2 things I did not like was how they save reservation spots for people that sign up for tier club. It was very hard to get into any of the specialty restaurants. the second was all the smoking. Smoking was allowed anywhere outside even in the pool.
