Dreams Riviera is a boutique property. So it is perfectly laid out so you don't have to go a long way to get to things. Upon arrival, there was no granduer or VIP experience. After sitting for sometime I was offered a glass of champagne for the welcome drink. THE WORST OF ALL....They do not have keys to the rooms, you must use your cell phone and app. I couldn't get it to download on my phone so I had no key, they should have just used wrist bands. The rooms were beautiful and I upgraded to a plunge pool. HUGE MISTAKE. The plunge pool was an ice bath. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. You saw no one using their plunge pool. After a long day, we wanted a great nights rest until we laid down on the HARDEST BED EVER!!!!!!!!! The bed felt like you were laying on hard bricks. FIRM WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER LEVEL. The best thing about this property was the food. It was 5 star and many options. All of the restaurants had waiting times of 50 mins or better. The breakfast buffet was mostly ethnic food and very little basic breakfast items. The activities onsite were amazing. There was always something to do and the entire staff was very friendly. The pools were freezing cold, so we didn't get in. There were never enough pool chairs so we didn't get those either. We rented a cabana. Last thing, the liquor was cheap so unfortunately there was limited drinking. Its located far from the city, $45 cab to the nightlife. Wouldn't stay there again. But a great experience.

LUGGAGE TOOK OVER 2 hours to get to my room, room service took almost 2 hrs for a kid’s meal at night, the staff look very unhappy and unwilling to help with small things, the lobby manager that I talked to, his name is Oscar, to try to help me with the reservation that I booked for 9 days and on the hotel paperwork was 10 days, he was very rude and he was acting like it was my mistake and did not help. I had to call customer service from Hotel.com to get in contact with them to revolve a problem with the hotel system. AN APOLOGY WAS NOT OFFERED. DO NOT COME TO THIS PROPERTY UNTIL THEY CHANGE SOME OF THE STAFF OR CHANGE THE ATTITUDE ON WELCOMING THE GUESTS.

Wish the food had been better. Seaside and Hibachi was by far the best. The staff is INCREDIBLE. They make you feel like you are the most important guest from the moment you enter the resort until you leave. Ernesto (Pool concierge) and Fernando (Spa services) made us feel like royalty. The hostess (started with a G) in the cafe was rude more than once but others were so nice it made up for it. Rooms are great. Lots to do and enjoy!

The property was beautiful. The rooms were beautiful and clean. We upgraded to prefer room with pool and ocean view. It was mostly worth it. We just didn’t spend much time in it but it was a breathtaking view. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because of the food. The food wasn’t good at all. I didn’t have one meal that made me want to go back for more. Lastly Ernesto by the pool and cabana area is so helpful in every way and just amazing.

Solid stay
Overall solid all-inclusive property. Highlight was my massage with Reyna, she is the queen of massages! The hour hydrotherapy prep I think greatly improves your massage experience to get your muscles relaxed and ready. Food was decent, amazing views, especially at night with the stars. Typical issue of everyone saving their pool chair early but hardly using it.
