Hotel with a touch of Japanese tradition
Village Kyoto served a great traditional Japanese breakfast and hotel room was truly a Japanese setting with futon bedding, sleeping pyjamas, pillows to sit on floor and room sandals. Nice experience.

Loved the matte floors and futons. The public bath was great! The shuttle van to Kyoto station came in handy several times.

not good location for family trip.
It had comfortable futons in a small tatami room that accommodated our family of six. Room had Clean and nice bath facilities. We were able to do laundry here which was a bonus for us. Boxed breakfast delivered to your room was good and fun for the kids. Negatives were: dark small room, inconvenient location unless you are very familiar with public transportation. The shuttle doesn’t start until 9am and upon arrival at train station we called and were told their was no shuttle ( around 4pm). Area surrounding was not family friendly, didn’t have many places to eat.
