European-like experience
This property reminded me of the kind of small hotel you'll find in many European cities. Travelers who have had this experience will find this place pleasantly familiar. Check-in was smooth and friendly. The room was rather small but certainly adequate if one doesn't plan on spending very much time there. Contrary to what some reviews have said, the room (including the bathroom) were spotless. Beds were comfortable and the A/C was just right. Location-wise, this is a terrific pick as it is only one block away from a metro station. There are also many dining choices and a supermarket within walking distance. The only shortcomings of the hotel, preventing me from offering the highest rating, include its very limited parking and lack of an elevator. It may not be a good choice for people who have trouble negotiating stairs. These factors are minor and I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

Poor 2.0
The rooms were dated and unsanitary. The staff were unprofessional and rude. I would strongly NOT staying at the Hotel St-Catherine.

Location is great. You get what you pay for, and it was good for the price.

Could only get one key to room witch made ithard to separate from the person that was staying in the Sam room. Was told we could be let into the building 24 , but I was out side of the building from 2 am til 2. :30 am. Finally went to back of building and pounded on the door and some girl let me in.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. Tiny bathroom. Limited parking for extra. Located on a very noisy street with bars closing around 3 AM. Cigarette smoking in hotel was terrible. Ideal if you have no car, are a smoker, and staying for the night life. Else, it can be inconvenient.
