Our room at Hotel Sardonyx was extremely roomy by Japan standards. We had a great view of the city and enjoyed the convenience of having convenience stores nearby. The hotel provided free toiletries, which was helpful as we forgot to bring some, and had coin laundry. It was a 15 minute walk from Tokyo station or a subway ride away. We highly recommend Hotel Sardonyx!

    Great hotel

We enjoyed our stay very much. Friendly service, clean, very comfortable beds. Huge rooms too. The location is very good near the metro and supermarket. The staff was very helpful with making dinner reservations for us. We would stay there again.

We stayed at Hotel Sardonyx 3 times during this trip - on 17th Oct, 24th Oct and 28th-30th Oct, total 4 nights. Staff and service on first check in were excellent, we had left luggage with the reception during our first check out for our return stay, and luggage was pre-delivered to our room prior to our 2nd check in. We were upgraded for our first stay, but only found out about the upgrade when we requested the same room for our return stay (staff did not mention at check in). Otherwise the hotel is quite satisfactory and we would return here again.

Like: Very good size room, good breakfast, very helpful staffs, near metro stations (Hatchobori) - 3 minutes on foot, quiet and safe neighborhood. It is 20 minutes walk or 1 stop by JR Train to Tokyo Main Station. It also has coin operated laundry. Dislike: Wish it has more restaurants nearby. To be fair, it does have a number of restaurants nearby, but I wish there are more. However if you go to the Tokyo Main Station there are tons of diners.

Super convenient hotel, about 30 seconds walk to hotel from H11 -A4 exit ! Heart of Tokyo! Room is big, good price & staffs are helpful (helped me catch a taxi to Haneda Airport). I’m really glad with this booking, there is nothing much to complain about. Location is residential, lots of convenience stores and restaurants around. Close to Tsuikiji, Ginza, Ueno, etc. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great location, comfortable room, friendly staff

Great location an and very comfortable! For the price, you really can’t beat it. Staff is welcoming, speaks pretty good English, and is very helpful. The rooms are clean with a lot of space for a Tokyo hotel. There’s a Lawson’s and a Family Mart across the street, and a good number of restaurants are in walking distance. If you don’t mind a hike, you can easily walk a 10 mile loop that covers the Tsukiji market, Ryogoku area, sumo museum, Edo-Tokyo museum, several shrines and temples including Senso-Ji, and the Imperial Palace.

    Clean & Spacious Visit

Booking a hotel in Tokyo was stressful because it's such a huge city. I knew I wanted to be by a train station and not in the hustle and bustle of it all. Well, there are subways nearby but the main train station was quite a walk away. The desk staff were super friendly and checked us in right away. Our room was nice and roomy. We had the highest room overlooking the street corner. This was one stop on our honeymoon and the staff had a little gift of Shiba Inu wedding dogs in our room. Super cute souvenir to commemorate this trip. There aren't many restaurants nearby, convenient stores mostly. A great little pizza place up the street, but beware, they smoke inside. We tried the restaurant downstairs for breakfast one morning and were pleasantly surprised. It was a pretty decent breakfast buffet with amazing juices!
