Poor Communication but beautiful resort
From the moment of checking in, we were given sales pitches for their star prestige club. We repeated over and over again that we were not interested in joining. Instead we paid extra daily for an upgraded room in a building closer to the beach. Well we made our dinner reservations after we paid that extra fee and we’re told we’d be given a different room all within 1.5 hours of arriving to the hotel. We had to ask multiple times what room we would be in and finally after close to 2 hours we were given our new room number. We inquired about our dinner reservations being made without knowing our room number and we’re told it was fine and they would just look it up by our last name. We never received the “ticket” that we were supposed to get that serves as a receipt for your reservations for dinner. Well we inquired several more times through our stay and we’re told our reservations never existed. On our last night they wouldn’t let us into the restaurant we had reservations at, even though the hostess told me our name was on the list and even let me take a picture of it.
Another issue we had was that we decided to pay per day for the access to the member side of the beach. When booking that portion, my credit card was charged for 2 additional fees.
Otherwise, this is a gorgeous and kid-friendly resort. This was our 4th visit to this location and by far the worst customer experience we've ever had in all of our vacations. Very disappointing that they focus more on
