I spent a night here and easily could have stayed longer. The foam pool party was fun and the DJ played good music most people would like. Most importantly the music was played at a tolerable level for enjoyment and relaxation and couldn't be heard on the beach a short distance away. The room was lovely and comfortable. The food and drinks are more expensive than elsewhere in the Philippines but I presume are typical resort prices that are always inflated.

The room and barhroom are spacious. Sink is lower for adults but excellent in height for kids. Twin beds are not really comfortable but the king bed is excellent. Breakfast buffet is 7/10. Best thing about this resort is they have complimentary drinks on the minifridge: 2 canned juices, 2 canned beers and 1 dried mango.

Poor service! Cart is their means of transportation to go to rooms yet hotel staff incharged were discriminating or letting guests who can ride first according to their choice. I requested and waited and I’m local yet a foreign nationals who just arrived got the ride first. Worst, the staff when asked why, did not say anything and not even sorry for it! This happened at around 8:45 in the evening where it’s scary to walk to their maze kind of path going to rooms! VIP 20% discount as promised upon checked in were not deducted; I emailed the property but did not reply. I have to contact the expedia staf for platinum member service. This is my second review of my entire hundred + of hotel stays through expedia… This much speaks my frustration!

Everything is great about the hotel (Food, Room, Location, Service and beach) except for the femal service staff located at the ice cream shop (service differ depending on your skin color). Location can be quite far away from the whale shark location (Took 3 hours to reach there, left hotel and 2am. Took 4 hours to reach hotel due to road traffic)

I’m not big on writing reviews, but thought I should for this. The hotel is dated, the staff is fake friendly, which is exhausting and sad because they looked terrified of guests, we waited over 30 min in line to check in, emailed them over 4 times to try to get reservations for the property to certain things with no response, the property has a horrible ammonia smell from the pesticides they use to control bugs, especially in the spa and our room, it was hard to breathe at times. We checked out, signed the bill, then they hounded us with endless texts and calls to pay them via PayPal. Such a disorganized stressful experience. Food was excellent, service was uncomfortably forced and bad. Not worth it at any price.

The amazing the staff on top of everything. The resort has 3 pools. My room was right by the main pool. They offer shuttle service. The only downside was not walking distance to anywhere.

Crimson is beautiful and tranquil. There isn’t a lot to do outside the resort because it is not walking distance to anything. Due to airlines technical difficulties, we missed a day at the resort and they are not flexible regarding the issue. We even stated we would stay additional nights if we could receive a credit for the night we missed. I definitely won’t not book this resort the first day you arrive in the Philippines in case you encounter travel delays as we did. Overall it was an okay stay but not our favorite in Lapu-Lapu.

Overall, this property offers the best bang for the buck. However, if you need to make some reservations especially for Christmas and New Year celebrations, please make sure to ask for clarifications so that you know what you get. For example, if you need to dine in the open air for that celebration party, you need to tell hotel concierge clearly.

Too expensive for what it is, aside being charge for a dinner I didn't have I would expect a better service. Good for a short stay, I would only try the pool villa for a romantic weekend. There is not much activities nor entertainment here and you can quickly kind of locked in. Prefer Dusit Thani, Jparc, Shangri-la, Plantation Bay, MovenPick.
