Good 6.0
Fine hotel
The hotel is in an excellent area. It's very old and run down. Very strange smell coming from all bathrooms (we changed rooms a few times). There were cobwebs and dust in all rooms.

Poor 2.0
Worst in Hanoi.
Probably worst hotel out of dozens I've stayed in Hanoi. Maybe even worst I Asia over decades of travel. Shabby, tired and dirty would describe. Carpets filthy. Tiles cracked. So called Felix room looked out at brick wall. Staff very nice.

Fair 4.0
Bad experience due to hotel renovation
Lots of issues happened when I stayed. 1st, got to the front and the building was in rubble and I thought they took my money and the hotel went bankrupt. There was a person at the steps I had to ask if it was still in business. He led me up to the 2nd floor where they made the reception desk. The hotel is under construction. Okay, it happens so I let that slide. 2nd, wifi didn't work. I had to ask twice and they tried or lack there of. On the 3rd day the wifi worked but the signal was terrible. I end up going down to the reception desk and they let me used a room to use the wifi. 3rd day also the hot water stopped working and they turned off the water after 10am or so for some reason. Other than the issues revolving the construction, the staff is friendly and helpful, the room is fantastic as I opt for the superior room, the bed is comfortable.
