Very easy to get around!
Stayed to tour Chicago -- do all of the touristy stuff. I was able to walk everywhere from the hostel. It was close to Soldier Field which was awesome for returning after the show there.

Liked It So Much I Came Back a Month Later
So glad I discovered this treasure. Liked my first stay so much I came back a month later. Stayed in the private rooms, once a bunk room, second time a bedroom. The bunk room was a bit small but both were just great. Never had a problem with access to the bathroom or common areas. Some noise from the el but it's Chicago in the Loop, you're going to get some noise from outside. Noise from neighbors was not a problem during either stay. Laundry facilities which is a great plus. Breakfast was just fine. A short walk to the Art Institute. Great staff, helpful, friendly and responsive. Highly recommend for any age, not just for the young traveler as I am an older woman and was traveling alone.

Nice hostel!
Big hostel with lots of great common areas. 24 front desk was nice and it was very secure with 3 checkpoints where you needed to swipe your card. Room was clean and staff was helpful. Included breakfast was OK but not amazing.

Happy experience for mature solo traveller
This is a perfectly located, superbly maintained, clean, comfy place to stay. I had a private room, which was very big and.,. Quiet.. so my experience was very good. Very nice breakfast in a big sunny space also included - basic, but fuels you for a good start to the day. Wifi that works and a lot of common areas to relax in. A place where people of all age groups stay.. comfy atmosphere. In the many many years I've spent travelling & staying at hostels, this ranks as one of the best.
