Relais Vatican View, Rome

The hotel was amazing. Very close to the Vatican. The rooms were great. Very clean and we had a small kitchen attached to ours with fridge and coffee/tea. Staff were very helpful and polite. The roof top terrace was an added bonus and great to sit and have a glass of wine at dusk. Also a good view of the Vatican.

Awesome place so closeto everything you could want to see in Rome

We were staying a couple days in Rome after our cruise to see the major sights in Rome. The hotel is literally a just couple minutes walk from St. Peter's Square and the Vatican Museums. It's also fairly close (5-10 minutes) to the Metro and Tram. So, the location was excellent. There are restaurants and shops all around it, so everything you need is within walking distance. The secure hotel entry is very tight as it's just a couple doors wide with a small landing before the spiral staircase. It has the smallest elevator I've ever seen; 1 person with a suitcase and carry-on is all that will fit and you have to go up a set of stairs to get to it. So, not the most convenient access with luggage, but it's workable. We thought the location and price was worth the slight inconvenience. The king size bed (two twins pushed together) was very firm as were the pillows (typical European). Our room had a huge bathroom with separate shower and tub. Romans love their baths. We had a separate kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink and decent counter space, so one could bring back goodies from the restaurants or snack shops. Tile floors throughout, so don't forget your slippers. There's a decent sized closet and tiny safe. Huge mirrors everywhere. Overall, a very nice place, conveniently located and good service. I would definitely stay here again when in Rome.
