The Ayrlington, Bath
Five star stay at a five star hotel!
The hotel stay was exceptional...from the warm and friendly reception given by Johnny, the manager, to the directions and recommendations he provided (try the nearby Herd restaurant...awesome food). The rooms were clean and well appointed...and the hotel accommodated our request for a ground floor room as one from our group is 87 and has trouble with stairs. The fulll breakfast was well served. Location is great...short walk to the historic city. Parking guaranteed even with fully booked hotel. Will stay there next time we pass by...assuming there are any vacancies.

A comfy, convenient and enjoyable stay in Bath
We just left the Ayrlington after a 2 night stay in the Victorian room. Johnny, as well as every other staff member we encountered, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although we arrived early and left in the afternoon, after checkout, they were happy to find a place for our bags and served us a steaming hot cuppa tea while we waited for our taxi to pick us up. The room was large and well-appointed, equipped with a kettle and daily supply of shortbread cookies to go with our tea. There was a full-sized bathroom, including a tub/shower! The bed was quite comfortable and there were nice wingback chairs to relax in. The breakfast was excellent! It included a good selection of fruit, cereals, cheese, yougurt and juices as well as a full hot menu from which to order. As I mentioned the staff were fantastic. We would stay again and highly recommend this to friends and family!

Betwixmas break in Bath
We had an issue with the comfort of our mattress on the first night, hence the slightly lower score on comfort, but this was addressed quickly by the Manager and we were upgraded for our last night, which was excellent service. Beautiful Hotel otherwise, great breakfast and great location for walking into bath.

Very Good8.0
Lovely 'character' hotel with really good staff.
A very nice 'character' hotel within easy walking distance of the town centre. Very friendly & efficient staff and an excellent breakfast. We had an early start on the first morning and a continental breakfast was served in our room by a very cheerful and friendly night porter. There was a bar with some very nice local (bottled) real ale and good wine. It's not a cheap hotel but it is good quality. The only down side was the parking which is very tight.
