We absolutely loved Marriott residences in Salgados. The rooms, the hotel grounds, the restaurants and the amenities were all outstanding. We stayed with our 3 year old and 6 year old who is autistic.The hotel staff were very helpful in answering all our questions before we even arrived, and they were helpful and supportive throughout our stay. The restaurant staff Dmytro and Inès were always ready to give us a hand when we struggled with the kids. Thank you to Jessica for a smooth check in. The shuttle to the beach is fantastic. The hotel is well placed and we used it as a base to visit Faro and Albufeira old town. We can't wait to go back. Thank you everyone!

Wonderful resort with all you could need within the apartment for self catering. Safe, clean and the staff were friendly and could not do enough. I enjoyed aqua yoga, a massage and my husband enjoyed a round of golf on the course. The kids enjoyed the many pools which were clean and very well maintained. A little train took you to the beach and back, and supermarkets are less than 20 minutes walk away. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Filthy pool area at Marriott Residences Salgados P

1. Misleading Gluten-Free Promise Prior to our arrival, I contacted the hotel to confirm they could accommodate a guest with celiac disease. I was assured there would be gluten-free options available. In reality, the only offering was a single type of gluten-free bun—served every morning for the entire week. There were no cereals, muesli, or granola alternatives. This lack of variety was not only disappointing but unacceptable given the dietary needs communicated in advance. 2. Unhygienic Pool Area The pool area was shockingly neglected. It appeared to serve more as a birdbath than a guest facility, with seagulls and pigeons frequenting the space. Every sunbed was covered in bird droppings, and unlike other hotels (such as those in Spain, where sunbeds are washed daily), no cleaning was done throughout our stay. The level of filth was beyond anything I’ve encountered in a hotel setting. 3. Payment Dispute at Reception Upon check-in, the reception staff claimed my reservation had not been paid, despite the fact that it had been settled in advance. They were unable to locate the payment in their system and offered no resolution. Although the hotel claims affiliation with the Marriott chain, they had no record of the transaction and failed to follow up or confirm the payment later. No apology was offered for the confusion or the inconvenience caused.

Tout était très bien sauf le personnel : 30 minutes d’attente (à 23h) à la réception pour avoir notre chambre (alors qu’il n’y avait qu’un autre couple avant nous) car ils ne s’en sortaient pas. La réceptionniste est en plus désagréable et s’énerve. L’équipe pour l’entretien rentre dans le logement sans frapper pour faire le ménage à 17h. On attend 35 minutes pour un pichet de sangria. On a besoin d’une note et le barman n’arrive pas à sortir un ticket (on l’aura eu le lendemain). On demande des glaçons lorsque l’on commande un verre à la piscine. On les aura eu 25 minutes après, le serveur repassait devant nous toutes les 5 minutes en disant « sorry I forgot » Bref c’est très dommage car c’est un très bel hotel, mais il est certain que nous ne reviendrons pas, le mauvais service gâche absolument tout.

Otroligt fint och trevligt hotell, personalen var otroligt trevliga och hjälpsamma samt generösa! Vi bodde här med vår dotter på 1 år, att ha egen tvättmaskin/diskmaskin och kök var därför väldigt praktiskt! Föreslår att hyra en bil dock då det inte finns jättemycket att göra i området, vi hade bil och man tog sig runt väldigt enkelt och det var trevliga städer åt alla håll! Vi åt aldrig på hotellets restauranger då vi lagade mat i köket samt åt ute! Kan varmt rekommendera stället och vi kommer nog tillbaka!
