Nice hotel, Good service but hard beds, Good WiFi
Overall Hotel Keihan Universal Tower is a nice hotel located very near to JR station. Many restaurants in the area to choose from. Lawson convenience store is just next to the hotel entrance. However this store is super busy with long lineup most of the time as many people going to Universal Studio. The 4 of us reserved a room with 4 beds, the beds are harder than what most hotels offer, not comfortable to sleep on.We were unable to get our room when we checked in at 11am but room# was assigned at that time. We dropped off our luggage and ventured Osaka. When we returned, our luggage were already in our room. Hotel service is very good but very few of their front desk staff speaks English.

Manager Accused Me of "Looking for a freebie"
Location is excellent - walking distance to USJ, City Walk, train station and ferry to aquarium. I wish there was more I could add on a positive note... Rooms are 3D (dated, dark & dank) and small with furniture positioned in awkward places to have to maneuver around. The beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable, unless you like sleeping on cardboard. Last but certainly not least, I personally found the service to be ATROCIOUS! Upon checking-in, I agreed to downgrade from two 3-bed rooms, to one 3-bed and one 2-bed room so that my family of 5 could be in adjoining rooms. To compensate for this downgrade, I kindly asked if the hotel would be willing to add breakfast to our room for only ONE morning. Not only did the manager on hand (MARLON) rudely deny me, he loudly accused me of "looking for a freebie" as I was nearly half-way across the lobby heading to the elevators. Dear Marlon, You clearly need to take your customer service training all over again. I can assure you that on my salary, I don't need any "freebies," though it was completely inappropriate for you to ACCUSE A CUSTOMER of this & get so defensive, especially in front of a trainee who I can only hope has other role models in your establishment. Do you want to know what I am REALLY looking for??? I am constantly on the look-out for QUALITY customer service, but you made it perfectly clear that I need to look elsewhere. MY ADVICE: Stay at the Park Front Hotel instead of here!!!

The location is very good but the room they gave us was very small for five persons and it’s the very first business hotel I experienced that don’t serve a complimentary bottled water.
