Eurostars Ramblas, Barcelona

Great location and I was given a nice spacious quiet room. Interestingly enough, I was given a handicapped/accessible room even though I am able bodied and an athlete!? At the time I thought of requesting a different room and then just could not be bothered. Can’t complain about proximity to landmarks, the Beach or great restaurants or transport. Attention and care should be given to the checkin staff. Although the young woman was pleasant enough, she seemed impatient to get rid of me even though I wanted information about a few things around the hotel Area. She was not very helpful or interested. Given the amount of money I was spending for my hotel stay, I would think that my needs as a repeat customer might illicit a keener interest. I have stayed in Eurostar’s before in Granada and Madrid and have always had top notch service. This location was disappointing for the service that I have come to expect from Eurostar’s hotels. It was a 2 star treatment from a 4-5 Star Hotel chain at 4-5 star prices! Special touches were missing such as ice cold water dispensers at reception area, fresh fruit and newspapers and magazines to read in the lounge/reception area. Staff just didn’t seem to care much and were often hidden behind the computer screen not even saying hello when one would enter the hotel or come down to reception. Disappointing hotel experience but as I said, the location, cleanliness and quiet room were perfect.

the hotel was conveniently located at Las Ramblas with lots of restaurants around and the metro station right in front of the hotel. It was very clean and the rooms were spacious. Highly recommended

Excellent location, great customer service and staff. Room was fairly clean except for some sort of yuck on the curtain. This is a smallish room but was enough for a home base. Unfortunately our room was on the first floor and facing a courtyard area with a playground that was verrrry noisy at all hours. And I mean all hours. Drunken people were vomiting on the pavement under our window. Room tip: ask for a room on a higher floor to get away from the outside noise. We didn't hear any of our fellow hotel-guests, so just outside noise. You can't beat the location though.
