I just returned from a lady's trip here with 5 of my dear friends to celebrate the last in our group to turn 40. We got the swim out rooms. Our arrival happened to be during the siesta time on a rather chilly day. So, we were starving, but all of the restaurants were closed and the "hot tubs" felt no different from the pool water (cold). So, we were very concerned about our choice. BUT, once we got settled in this place was fabulous! The staff took such great care of us, bringing us tacos to our beach chairs, quickly learning what our beverage orders were, and there was even a waiter that checked on us in our swim-out room pool! The food in the restaurants was fabulous. I have cruised a number of times, but this is my first time staying in an all-inclusive resort. The food at Secrets was far superior to cruise food. We did the multi-course meal in the French restaurant's wine room, and the food and service were absolutely on point. Even the breakfast buffet, with the made to order omelets and crepes, was wonderful. They always had mimosas waiting at our table for us. We found that the staff recognized us around the resort. The morning yoga was a great way to start the morning, and the beach felt safe to go for an early morning stroll each morning to. Be sure to take the catamaran ride. We saw a large manta ray while we were out. I do wish there had been more nighttime entertainment, but I'm already planning a return trip to the Dreams side with my family.
