Royal Panerai Hotel, Chiang Mai

The hotel was outdated, the picture looks better than hotel, the swimming pool and the gym was located 200 meters away at another hotel. The pool was very cold and needs fixing. The location was not bad if you enjoy walking to your attractions and food. The room was good size but the lighting needs improving and the staff were eager to help and friendly. The price was good and a bit more than the hostels.

hotel room was quiet however the street in front was very busy and noisy and we would have to cross a couple of the busy streets each time we wanted to go into the old town - not that convenient as the pedestrians do not have the right of way - mattress was hard - clean though and for the price - ok - my preference would not be to have looked for a place "In" the old city - we had a sister hotel that we could purchase a Great smorg breakfast at - very good and at this sister hotel they had a outdoor pool - not very well maintained and not very inviting, so never used it in our 4 days there.

This is not in the old mote area so trying to cross the crazy busy streets was a challenge and pretty risky at times to go to any restaurants - staff were pleasant - beds were hard - but for the price - really can't complain -

We had a basic room, would maybe consider staying again but choose a deluxe room to see the difference as there was no hairdryer, no coffee tea etc. Close to Old City. Good for price.

It was convinient to stay to go aroud the night bazzar and tape gate area with good restaurant.
