I had a fantastic tine at the Ivy Boutique Hotel. Great front desk staff. Room was excellent. Got a nice upgrade too. Location perfect for everything. Local area has all you need including a big Whole Foods Store and Lakeshore very close, handy for ne as a runner. Train stop 10 minute walk away. One change red to blue line and straight to O’Hare Airport for $3 on the inbound $5 on the outbound. Unbeatable value. Highly recommend. No gym or business centre on site butbfree acccess to a local gym and they can print your boarding pass for you..

Fine Hotel comes with accusation and no privacy
I brought my luggage to the room and activated the "do not disturb" button and left the Hotel. On my return into the room i found a letter on the counter that excusing me of smoking weed in the room. Not only was that wrong (they found in some of the neighbour rooms the actual smoker) they also, which is even more disturbing, ignored my do not disturb sign and entered my room. Nothing was missing but they could have put the note under the door instead of invading my privacy. They cleared me from the charges of smoking and gave me a 50$ discount on my bill on check out. The Hotel it self is very good only the Bar in the reception area is a little boring so i went across the street into EMC2 Hotel bar, good stuff and lots of people.

You had me at cupcakes
Amazing suite. Huge and spacious. Cleaning staff left cupcakes, need I say more!? Great service, they do the little things that make a big difference. A block away from the Michigan mile. Love this place

One Rude Person Left a Bad Overall Experience!
We arrived at the Ivy as the last stop on a about 24 day road trip to spend 4 nights. When we arrived everything went smooth from getting checked in and having the car parked by valet. Lobby and rooms very nice, overall the whole hotel was very nice and I would stay again. There are 3 things though that should be addressed, first the shower had a little mold in the corners, very minor but still noticeable, second the Wi Fi is not free, it is around 9 dollars for 24 hours. Now since I paid for the Wi Fi you would think it would be good, well it is not! It was like I have dial up again, actually I think my dial up in the 80's was better, it was slow and kept dropping the connection. Last and probably the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel was that in the morning when we were getting ready to leave at 5:30 am I called for the car to be brought to the front and asked if someone could help us with our luggage, the night time desk person(Kyle) brought up a luggage cart and stood there with his ear phones in listening to music as I loaded the cart myself, then as I was almost done he turned around and walked away leaving me to bring it down myself. So I got the cart to the lobby then when to sign out he never said a word shoved the papers in front of my face all the while still listening to his music with his ear phones still in not even acknowledging me. Overall if the last thing didn't happen I would have been very happy with the whole stay. I just hate rudeness!
