    Concierge and front desk people were fantastic. Housekeeping staff were terrible! Firstly, she was banging on our door even though we had a do not disturb sign. When we talked to her through the door, telling her we would be leaving in about an hour, gave us horrible attitude. Then, we called TWICE to remind housekeeping that we need to have our sheets changed when our room gets cleaned as we had a diaper incident with our baby. When we got back to our room late at night, beds were made but sheets not changed. We had to sleep on stained sheets. The bathtub drain was clogged with hair but wasn’t cleared when we got back, so we had to take our subsequent showers with water (and hair and other junk coming up the drain) filled up above our ankles - gross! This also tells me that the tub and tiles were not cleaned at all when the room was “cleaned”, for if she had turned on the water at all she would’ve realized that water was not draining at all and that the drain is clogged with hair. Such a pity to have to give a negative rating as the front desk and concierge personnel were so friendly but the housekeeping disappointments were just too much, especially for a Westin.

    The Westin Grand Central was in a fantastic midtown location. The staff was wonderful and I really enjoyed the complimentary American breakfast. The onsite restaurant staff was so accommodating and even adjusted the sweetness level of complimentary cocktails that my friend and I enjoyed on Saturday afternoon. I will definitely come back on my next trip to NYC!!

    The 25 dollar per day destination fee is very poor value- as a family of 4 we could not use any of the options. For a single traveller it would be fine because it gives you one free breakfast per day.
