Modern comfortable hotel
A very comfortable hotel with prompt service and rooms with a great view of the river and the city. Attached to a small shopping centre which has a 711, a few dining options and a nail bar. Not a lot else really. The Anantara hotel is also attached through the shopping centre. The only things we didn’t like included the loud horrible music in the lifts and also in the pool area. They favour duf duf pop which we found intrusive and annoying when trying to have a swim in the gorgeous pool and read a book in between swims. Also they split the rooftop area between swimming and restaurant and there is a sort of no go area in between where you are not allowed to sit. They tip over the tables and chairs to prevent them being used by swimmers, which is weird because it is a wet area. It leaves swimmers nowhere comfortable to sit as the pool loungers are not very comfortable. Drinks are very expensive unless you can down a lot of cocktails in 2 hours, which is only 40 aus dollars,whereas one cocktail costs at least half this. Having said this the rooftop area has a sublime view and would be very appealing for young people who enjoy the music. You can pay to use the swimming pool at the adjacent Anantara hotel which to us was much more attractive and comfortable. I think next time I would choose to stay there. Breakfast was extremely good and our Hotels gold membership scored us great tables most mornings. The staff also showed an amazing ability to address us by name.
